A Devon community group dedicated to action on climate change
Greener Teign was formed at an open meeting on 30th July 2009 at which a steering group was agreed with Mary Roddick as chair. Both Mary and Adrian had had considerable previous experience with Bovey Climate Action and are indebited to that group for providing the much of the impetus.
The Steering Group quickly agreed a constitution with written objectives:
1. To undertake activities within the Teign Valley and its surroundings which reduce carbon emissions
2. To raise awareness of climate change, and the need to adapt to its effects, among the people of the Teign Valley and its surroundings
3. To lobby for action to reduce climate change.
